I would like to thank the trade for continuing to support Executive cars by offering all those strange old cars you get as trade ins. Keep it up, because we are constantly looking for stock. Remember, its anything 1996 and older that we want, you know, those cars that the banks don't seem to think exists.

Talking of banks,( my favourite subject ), it would appear to be a case of one step forwards, two steps back whenever an application for finance on an older car is sought. You don't exactly need a degree in economics to figure out that they are far less of a risk than a new car, yet pressure and greed, together with an almost manic need to increase their obscene profits, as well as pressure from the manufacturers in order to achieve the same goals, produces a myopic, blinkered approach from the gods that control what we should drive. Surely there is a bank out there with a different outlook. Surely they are financing the individual not the car. I happen to believe that my client base are intelligent and enlightened when it comes to the choice of vehicle they want to drive, it must be of good quality, it must have suffered most of its depreciation already, it must be less likely to be hijacked, and it must reflect some kind of individuality, qualities todays modern cars sadly lack. As you may or may not know, this subject has been close to my heart for years, and I have printed innumerable commentaries just like this one, yet have never received a single response from any bank. I am even prepared to buy back any car financed through my business for whatever monies are outstanding, should they be repossessed, which, by the way, is highly unlikely as my typical client is mature and educated, and far less likely to suffer financial difficulties, which is why he is looking at the type of stock I sell anyway. Forgive me If I don't hold my breath until a bank responds.

Finally, I am looking for a new member of our team. This is a commission only position, so it will appeal only to the supremely confident. Inter personal skills, to make up for my lack of them, is a priority, product knowledge is unimportant as our typical client knows more about the vehicle he or she is looking for than we do. Call me if you think that you are up for it.
