Now is the time for the trade to be offering me all their unusual trade-ins. Due to an unprecedented month in terms of sales I am urgently looking for stock.. As you probably know already, price and age are unimportant, but condition is vital. Consignment cars are considered but I prefer to buy outright. There has definitely been an upswing in business this year and not for such obvious reasons such as the cost of loaning money. Certainly South Africans are finally waking up to the fact that foreigners are nicking all our fine collectable cars and are fighting back. From the executive car point of view, more and more people are beginning to realise that when you compare, say, a new BMW 740 at R800,000, to a 740 with 100,000 kms on the clock at R150,000, there is no contest. Or a new 500SL at R1.4million or a 4 year old with 60,000kms on the clock at R500,000., Value for money has always been close to the heart of a working class lad like me. There was a time when impending tax problems drove people to buy expensive cars as an avoidance tactic, but thanks to the most improved government department, SARS, it is less prevalent A special thankyou goes to an un-named client who purchased no fewer than four cars from us last month. Now that's my kind of client. If , like him, you are putting together a collection for investment, talk to me , my advice is free. You may also have noticed that we have a number of SL's for sale. This does not mean that the market is flooded with them, rather that we have put a selection together for you, to make you're your choice easier and more convenient, not to mention the fact that we take no prisoners nor excuses for not buying from us!!! |
