Good news for all internet junkies is that executive cars.co.za is back on line as you read this. I do hope that I am the only company around that has been conned by these so called web site management companies who offer the world and deliver nothing. I am now entering my 4 th agreement in 5 years and hope that it is the last change I make.

Imust confess that the internet has expanded the horizon somewhat, from a predominantly Johannesburg based clientele to a truly national one.

Business has been unusually brisk and has re-emphasised that quality is paramount, not price. There will always be a cheaper car out there if you look hard enough, , but we pride ourselves on finding top quality examples first, then price it accordingly. Believe me, the price is forgotten within a year of buying a car from us.

The banks, those wonderful institutions, who have, for so long tried to prescribe what you should buy and when, are beginning to slowly understand that they cannot tell their lifeblood what to do. They are beginning to wake up to the fact that they are financing a client, not a product, and that the big manufacturers should not be applying pressure to the banks to push new product. Lets face it, who, in their right mind would purchase a new car with losses of 25, 20, and 15% in the first three years of ownership ? Are there that many people out there with tax problems? I don't think so.

Just look at the stock, a Saab Aero convertible for the price of a Smart, a Mercedes convertible for the price of an Mx5, a 500SL with 60,000kms for the price of a TT, a 600SL for the price of a Honda S2000. If you have been suitably brainwashed into thinking that you must not buy a car without motorplan, then there is precious little we can do to help your condition, and you will perish a slow and financially painful death.
